8diagnosis is an informational app that suggests possible car issues based on symptoms you describe.

Information we collect

• Vehicle details you enter: make, model, year, and your free-text description of the problem.
• Technical data (automatic): basic logs from our hosting provider (e.g., IP address, date/time, user-agent) used for security and reliability.

Tip: Don’t include personal information in your problem description.

How we use your information

• Generate an informational “diagnosis” response for you.
• Operate, secure, and improve our service.
• Respond to support requests.

AI/Service providers

We send your inputs to a third-party AI service provider to generate the diagnosis. That provider acts as our processor and is contractually restricted from using your data for their own purposes. We also use standard hosting/logging providers (e.g., for infrastructure and security).

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers as needed to run the app, or if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

Data retention

Vehicle inputs may be retained for short periods to operate and improve reliability. Server logs are kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your choices & rights

• Access/Deletion: Email us to request a copy or deletion of data we can identify and access.
• Opt-out of marketing: We currently do not send marketing emails.

Children’s privacy

The service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by your region). Do not use the app if you are under that age.

International transfers

Data may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws.
